St. Augustine Church is a mission congregation in the Anglican Church in America. The word "Anglican" simply tells you about our roots that go back to the days when the Gospel of Jesus Christ first reached the shores of England, and was preached among the British people. Those faith-filled beginnings of becoming disciples of Jesus have now reached and blessed us. The "Anglican tradition" can be found in countries throughout the world.
We are a church that proclaims God's life-giving Word found in the BIBLE, and confesses the Faith as set forth in the historic creeds of the church (the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds). Our worship is filled with prayer and praise, utilizing the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER which has shaped the spiritual growth of Christians for centuries. On Sunday mornings you will find us worshipping with psalms, hymns, and prayers, as well as gathering around the Lord's Table for Holy Communion.
We seek to live in our Faith by heeding Christ's Great Commandment - "loving God with all our heart," and by embracing Christ's Great Commission - "taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth."
Our church is named for ST. AUGUSTINE OF CANTERBURY who was sent to Britain in the 6th century to preach the good news of Jesus Christ, and bring unity to the Celtic people who believed and became disciples of the Lord Jesus.
Come join us on Sundays at 10 AM.
